July housekeeping

July 2nd, 2007 -- Lewis

I updated a bit of information today.  The lists of active and recruiting games should be current as of July 2.  I also added a couple of names to our list of GMs.

Lots happening in April!

April 15th, 2007 -- Lewis

We have several new and recruiting games, thanks to a couple of players stepping up to try their hand as GMs, and thanks to a couple of older GMs with fresh ideas. You can either browse these pages to find new and recruiting games, or check the “Currently Recruiting Games” thread in the “Join Us Here” forum.

We also have a new pair of Head Administrators: Himo and Rhoon have taken over for the retiring Psycho and Jon.

You might also want to take a look around this blog’s “pages,” since I’ve just revised and extended the content. I usually don’t update the status of recruiting and active games here as often as I do in the forums, but for now they’re perfectly current. This blog may be a bit more organized than the forums, but since almost all of this site’s new content appears in the forums first, they are the best place to find the most current information.

SWRPGA History page

Himo found some fodder for the SWRPGA History page.  Go give it a look.

Currently Active Games

January 24th, 2007 -- Lewis

As of mid-January, the SWRPGA has seven active games.

Two of the active games are still recruiting.  In addition, if you want to get into the ground level of a new game, there are also two recruiting games that haven’t started yet.

For more information, visit the pages for the game categories in this blog (Old Republic, Rise of the New Republic, and New Jedi Order), or visit the “Join Us Now” forum by clicking on “To Forums” above.

recent updates

December 15th, 2006 -- Lewis

I’ve just made a few corrections to the “People” pages and the “Fan Fiction” pages.

In the lists of “SWRPGA Staff” and “Forum Moderators & GMs” (renamed from “Featured Members”), I fixed a couple of minor inaccuracies.

In the “Fan Fiction” lists, I added a recent entry to the list of short stories, and moved one entry from “Short Stories” to “Freeform RPs.”

trying to standardize

November 1st, 2006 -- Lewis

In an effort to standardize the appearance of the pages, I’m hoping to make a few things uniform.  For example, you’ll see that I’ve added the following to the bottom of all game pages…

GM: Moderator/Master’s name
Game status: Active, Recruiting, in hiatus, or inactive

This more or less resembles what Courtney and Caylen already had at the bottom of the pages for the games they are moderating.  “In hiatus” means that the game is paused, but the GM hopes to resume it in the near future.  “Inactive” means that the game has ended, or has been stopped indefinitely.

I’ve also tried to list all active and recruiting games in all four of the category pages…

Games Currently Recruiting:

Game A (Moderator A)
Recruitment Thread | Forum | Page

Game B (Moderator B)
Recruitment Thread | Forum | Page

Active Games:

Game C (Moderator C)
Forum | Page

Game D (Moderator D)
Forum | Page

The italicized bits are hotlinked to the recruitment threads, the game forums, or the pages here, respectively.  Again, this is modeled on what Courtney has already done - I’ve only expanded her design a bit.

GMs are always welcome to change the pages that describe their games.  If you can’t do it yourself, PM Courtney or me, and we can help you.

a couple of minor updates

October 25th, 2006 -- Lewis

Courtney gave me the go-ahead to update the structure of the “Pages” tree to the left. I didn’t change the lists of games, but under them I made the following changes:

1: I grouped several of the pages, including “Rules and Regulations” and “Tutorials” under “Help and Information.” This doesn’t affect the pages themselves, but it should make them more visible.

2: I grouped the “SWRPGA Staff” and “Featured Members” pages under “People.”

3: I divided the “Fan Fiction” page into “Short Stories” and “Freeform RPs,” and I formatted it to better match the rest of the site.

SWRPGA Sister Site Now Live

October 12th, 2006 -- psycho

Hey there SWRPGAers, as many of you know, there has been a discussion about creating a new, separate site dedicated to non-Star Wars roleplaying. You can visit the forums by visiting the link listed below:

Sister Site

We are currently looking for a name for our new site, and we welcome any suggestions you may have, just send me a PM on either forums. Also, if you want to start up a non-Star Wars game, just let me know and I’ll set up a forum for you.

To Do (Updated as of 11-12-06)

October 9th, 2006 -- admin

1. Add a wiki function to Wordpress. (In Progress)

2. Gather content for the Fan Fiction section. (Completed)

3. Update current content pages, adding new games to the list as well as taking down games that are no longer in existence as well as other pages - IRC, GotQ, etc. (In Progress)
4. Develop a second theme for Wordpress that uses dark colors and images.

5. Create themes for the forums that coincide with the main website so that there is more cohesiveness between the forums and main site.
